Hey everyone!! I’m looking to get my boyfriend a new cologne for valentine’s day but i’m on a bit of budget. He really loves softer smells. He was a big fan of the Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt, I’d get it again but i cannot afford $182 right now! Any suggestions I could get from you guys would be a life saver!!! Thank you ❤️

Some colognes your bf might like

• The Comme des Garcons Monocle scents are great wood scents and $120/50ml
• Histoire de Parfums has 1725, 1899 and 1828 for men. All have a sort of gentle vibe. $105/60ml. There are also 15mls you can try, I think for around $30.
• Dipqyue's Tam Dao is a stand up creamy sandalwood at $99/50ml
• Ck One is a fresh citrus at $70/50ml
• Some of the Penhaligons may be affordable at the 50ml size and they are generally fresh and soft. You might consider Juniper Sling, Sartorial, Savoy Steam, or others

Something like the Jo Malone London Wood Sage & Sea Salt/ Peony & Blush Suede Mini Set 2 x 0.3oz/9mL($45) would give him one you know he likes and a new one to try out. The latter one is floral, but I guess when you say "softer" smells, my mind goes to gender-neutral/slightly feminine and not overly sweet, so it could still work? Or, if you want to stay strictly with the Wood Sage and Sea Salt, you could get the same scent in a less expensive form, like a body and hand wash JO MALONE LONDON - Wood Sage & Sea Salt Body & Hand Wash ($42) or the JO MALONE LONDON - Wood Sage & Sea Salt Body Crème ($84). Also, I don't know exactly what your budget is, but the cologne itself is not $182! 1oz is $70 and 3.4oz is $140 in the JO MALONE LONDON - Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne. If you're looking for an entirely new smell, though maybe take a look at Versace Pour Homme Eau de Toilette 6.7 oz/ 200 mL(mini size $30, value size $115 with some in between), or DOLCE&GABBANA - Light Blue Pour Homme Eau de Toilette ($88), which is in the same scent family as Wood Sage and Sea Salt of "Fresh Aquatics." As a guy, personally I would love anything my boyfriend would love, since he's the one I'm wearing it for it's important to me that he like the scent. I don't know if your man is the same as me in that regard, but I really think you should just get him something that you think would smell good on him.
