Since this brand is being discontinued, I thought we could share our suggestions for fragrances similar to Commodity scents!
So far, I've read these suggestions
Moss
Gold
Cotton
Please feel free to add your thoughts!
(Tagging @suzanne5ive who is looking for a dupe for Gold)
@Titian06 a fellow Commodity aficionado! I haven’t kept up on the video series but thought it was so cool they documented the process of resurrecting the business.
Honey, you can try dior
I can absolutely tell you that dolce and Gabbana the one smells absolutely nothing like commodities gold. It smells incredibly floral like an old lady it is giving Windex vibes. Waste of money.
I agree; I went into Sephora to test it today and it didn’t smell like Gold at all. Maybe if you mixed The One and YSL black opium together, then mayyyybe
Birchbox has 3 of the Commodity fragrances available right now.
I just found on a drawer a sample from Commodity Book and I really really REALLY like it, so I went online to check it out... to find out it was been discontinued 😞
Do you guys know any dupes for this one? Not Santal 33, by dupes I mean alternatives that are similar AND cheaper, preferably.
I am looking to find something similar to Commodity Wool. If anyone has a recommendation I would appreciate it. ❤️
@angel7594 Birchbox currently has wool, bergamot, and book available. If you are ACE status with them, you get 20% off orders over $35. Once their black Friday deal starts, everyone can enjoy the discount.
Try Replica Whispers in The Library its similar to me just lighter.
I loved Wool by Commodity my heart sank when I heard. I find that Replica Whispers In The Library by Maison Margiela is similar, but lighter. I liked Wool because of how heavy it was. But I do like Replica Fragrances By The Fireplace is a favorite also. I guess I have a fragrance type.
Looking forward to other suggestions. Hope this was helpful.
@ThatcherBean , I love Wool also! I am going to sample “whispers in the library”
Thank you for sharing ❤️
May i suggest D&G The One for Magnolia? 😉
@blackkitty2014 All suggestions are welcome ❤️
Some more suggestions
Vetiver
Simple, excellent vetivers are Guerlain’s Vetiver and TOM FORD - Grey Vetiver Eau de Parfumfor a more modern polish
Tea
Elizabeth Arden’s classic Green Tea is a classic. Kilian also made a jasmine tea one called Imperial Tea but it's also been discontinued 😞 You can try hunting it down though! Bvlgari makes a tea series that generally reviews well.
Mimosa
Try Jo Malone's Mimosa and Cardamom or L'Artisan Parfumeur's Mimosa Pour Moi
Will be back with more later!
