Chanel Gabrielle L'eau

If anyone has tried Chanel Gabrielle L'eau I'd like to hear your thoughts. From reviews it seems Gabrielle L'eau is a bit different for most people. I've seen everything from kids body spray to no smell, powdery,
etc.

For me L'eau is a generally lightweight fragrance with a civety opening that evolves into a flavored sparkling water scent with an underlying chypre? scent that smells much like a lightweight version of 1980's (I'm thinking there's been reformulations since ) Liz Claiborne. L'eau does soften up into I'm guessing the 80's tuberose scent and after about 4-5 hours on my skin I no longer smell it. I don't get a whole lot of powder from L'eau. I do agree it is not much like Gabrielle or Gabrielle Essence. Maybe the part of Gabrielle after the ylang ylang drifts away. A real con on L'eau for me is that when I spray L'eau the area it's been sprayed has a civety scent turning to full on urine smell in the air for awhile. Thankfully, on the skin it comes off more as animalic than flat out urine. Bottle is pretty. Some places you can see that the glass is pretty thin and the perfume almost looks like it will flow out of the bottle. That looks pretty cool but I hope I don't drop my perfume. Also the 4-5 hour longevity doesn't bother me too much because it's an edt and in perfumes many edt don't last as long as many body sprays. Not sure of the science behind that edt vs body spray but the advantage is I will get the sparkling flavored water smell more often without overdoing the basenotes. I did not expect this to have a Chanel dna the way people are reviewing this fragrance, but for me it does have that Chanel dna to it.

Little update: This lasts much longer on my clothing.
