A New Rose Scent.

Hello everyone! I absolutely adore rose scented perfumes and I'm looking for something new to add to my shelf. Last year I purchased Rose Goldea Blossom Delight by Bvlgari, and while I love the smell I don't use it as often as I'd like. It's not the best scent for going into work (I'm in nursing). Does anyone know of a floral perfume with rose notes that might be better for everyday wear?

Thanks!

hey! philosophy Amazing Grace Ballet Rose Eau de Toilette is very pretty and light, very good for every day 🙂

not at sephora, but coach floral, aerin linen rose and bamboo rose, tory burch love relentlessly foi de toi, oscar de la renta bella rosa (might be a little heavy for every day but worth checking out!)

Re: A New Rose Scent.

@QueenRai Others have made some great suggestions! A few that come to my mind are

  • Stella McCartney Stella Rollerball 0.25 oz/ 7.5 mL Eau de Parfum Rollerball A modern, somewhat austere rose that's discrete.
  • AERIN Evening Rose 1.7 oz/ 50 mL Eau de Parfum Spray  If you want to try something smokier and spicier but not heavy, give this a shot. I'd test this one first though.
  • Serge Lutens Sa Majeste La Rose. Crisp, fresh cut roses in the floral shop with tight buds.
  • Diptyque Eau Rose. Less popular than the thorny L'Ombre dans L'eau with its sharp green notes and dark shading, Eau Rose is a fresh and delicate, paler rose.
  • Hiram Green's Lustre. Dewy, all natural rose. This is expensive but might work better for your workplace, especially if sensitivities to strong artificial scents are a concern

I might give AERIN a try, looking at the scent notes it sounds divine. Thanks for the recommendation.

@QueenRai you're welcome! Hope you find the right scent for you 🙂

Re: A New Rose Scent.

I am really enjoying Lush’s Rose Jam body spray along with the body wash and conditioner right now.  Have you tried the Lush Rose Jam family?

It’s a very bright astringent rose at the top with Sicilian lemon but that slowly fades into the heart of the scent with a creamy sweet tonka, it smells like someone baking a spice cake in the kitchen - a sort of gourmand rose then drying down to a mild powdery sweet rose.  Some find it cloying, but use a ‘light hand’ and spray underneath your clothes like right after a shower and it will just lightly linger if you’re working.  Then apply heavier when not at work.

I would suggest Parfum de Marly Delina, but that one regardless of application would be too loud for a medical setting.

For a simple and lightly formulated rose, try Jo Malone Red Roses.  It’s linear and easy to wear.

I've never actually went shopping at Lush before, but now I might have to give them a try! That sounds like it would be a lovely smell.
