Ultra dry skin moisturizer recommendations

I have very vey dry skin, I need a good moisturizer that will help with that, especially with winter coming. Any recommendations?

RE: Ultra dry skin moisturizer recommendations

I have normal-to-dry skin now in my 30s and being on a prescription acne medication has made me super dry and sensitive. From the pharmacy I like Embriolyse, Neutrogena hydro-boost, or even La Roche Posay Toleraine line. From mid-range I have found that the Peter Thomas Roth Hylaironic range is good (but the Neutrogena one mentioned before is the same thing and much less expensive) or even the Dr. Kart ceramidin line or their water fuse line. The thing about is dry skin people is that we tend to go for the extra buttery or extra thick creams and when the skin is very dry that can actually cause acne since the product won’t absorb immediately. I would suggest also exfoliating twice a week with an enzyme or aha toner (I Love the Pixi Glow Tonic from Target) and in the cold months add a light or dry oil to detox and strengthen the skin barrier. I like either Rosehip oil (the ole henriksen pure Truth oil with vitamin c is good) or a vitamin e oil (the body shop vitamin e Serum in oil is also a good one). Depending on your sensitivity level or what your main concerns are there are some fabulous option that won’t break the bank.
