Hi, I recently changed my moisturizer, and I love it. However, my dead skin started to come off, and I'm not sure if that's normal. Any advice on what could cause my dead skin to come off after using this moisturizer?

It sounds like this could be something called pilling @TiffyH123 and it usually happens when two products have ingredients that don't play well together. You might want to go on a google research mission.

What are they products your using around the same time?

I'm using the Biossance Squalane + Amino Aloe Gentle Cleanser. My toner is from Muji, my hyaluronic acid is from The Ordinary, I use the Tower 28 Daily Rescue Facial Spray, and my moisturizer is farmacy Honey Halo with ceramides.
