Sensitive Skin Creams?

Hello!

I am just wondering if anyone has some recommendations for facial moisturizers for very sensitive skin. I recently used the Glow Recipe Plum Plum cream and it irritated my skin. Any suggestions?

Re: Sensitive Skin Creams?

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair® Cream Intense Hydration – Face and Body Moisturizer for Skin Repair is my savior from the day I began using it 5 years ago.
DAMDAM Mochi Mochi Luminous Plumping & Hydrating Moisturizer 1.8 oz / 50 g is an absolute dream on the skin.
Drunk Elephant Protini™ Polypeptide Firming Refillable Moisturizer is a favorite of mine as well.
Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream Plumping & Hydrating Refillable Moisturizer is unmatched for moisturizing in my experience.
Topicals Like Butter Moisturizer for Dry, Sensitive & Eczema-Prone Skin 1.7 oz / 50 mL just updated the formula to have colloidal oatmeal as well, so I am looking at this to be a new dry skin rescue cream as well.

You also might want to look into sleeping masks for the skin if you want even more of a moisturizing boost, they aren't all heavy and skin suffocating - I love the LANEIGE Cica Sleeping Mask and it's super lightweight on the skin.

I do have some other options that I get from Korea by brands like Pyungkang Yul, Frudia, and ones sold in the US like Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream 1 oz / 30 mL , Rovectin, Peach and Lily, Peach Slices and COSRX. They all have various items other than moisturizers that are amazing for sensitve skin and I have multiple family and friends using their stuff now too.

> Do message if you want specific recommendations on stuff by those other brands not sold at Sephora, but I haven't been failed by whatever I try that's designs for dry and sensitive skin by them.

Re: Sensitive Skin Creams?

Hi @mamacocoxx ! When my skin's throwing a reactive tantrum, I use one of these fairly simple moisturizers to avoid more irritation:

  • Vanicream Moisturizing Lotion
  • Vanicream Moisturizing Cream (thicker version of the lotion)
  • CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion
  • CeraVe Moisturizing Cream (more occlusive than the lotion because it contains petrolatum)

My usual daytime moisturizer is Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer which is also good for sensitive skin, depending on what your skin's sensitive to. And that's the thing about all of this: we all have different skin sensitivities and triggers, so a moisturizer that's good for one person's sensitive skin might not play nice with another person's sensitive skin. The 2 Vanicream products I listed above have very basic ingredient lists, so they're my first go-tos when I need a good occlusive moisturizer I'm certain won't further aggravate my skin.

I have my eye on the Glossier one - love the other 3 as well!

Re: Sensitive Skin Creams?

Hi @mamacocoxx. I use SEPHORA COLLECTION All Day Hyaluronic Acid Hydrator Moisturizer and it works well without being irritating. SEPHORA COLLECTION Nourishing Moisturizer with Prebiotics 1.69 oz/ 50 mL is another good option.
