What's a good primer?

I've been loving the Kat Von D hydrating primer for a couple of years now. You may like it.

I believe the key to getting the smooth finish for dry skin is having a good face hydrating routine before the primer. A primer can only do so much. But, a good moisturizer along with a good primer will do wonders! I first hydrate with the Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Face Butter and then I use Smashbox Photo finish primer or Too Faced Hangover Primer. I hope this helps!
