A good hydrated base really helps with dry skin and makeup @sweettypie14 and it gives your makeup a better canvas. I'm a dry skin girl myself.  🩵

I like to use for prep after washing in the morning:

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Hydrating Serum with Ceramides  

While my skin is still damp. Hyaluronic acid pulls moisture into the skin, so using it while your skin is still damp after washing( not dripping) helps it with hydration.

Followed by:

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops Serum 

Glow Recipe Plum Plump Refillable Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer 

At night after washing I like a hydrating moisturizer like

LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask with Niacinamide & Squalane 2.3 oz/ 70 mL 

Or

Peter Thomas Roth Peptide Skinjection™ Moisture Infusion Refillable Cream 

I apply my moisturizer while my face is still a little damp after washing, the extra moisture really helps my dryness.

Then I'll add just a little Vaseline over top or Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Moisture Repair Balm Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane 1.41 ... to seal in that moisture. A little goes a long way. 👌

@sweettypie14 personally I’m finding using primers for dry skin makes the biggest difference in how my makeup applies (both Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt'r Hydrating Primer 1.0 oz/ 30 mL and Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Moisture Repair Balm Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane 1.41 ... dramatically improve how well my base products blend out).

I’m also seeing a lot of benefit in using overnight skin masks to hydrate, plump and repair my moisture barrier like LANEIGE Cica Sleeping Mask for Moisture Barrier Support and LANEIGE Bouncy + Firm Radiance Boosting Sleeping Mask with Peony Collagen Complex 2 oz / 60 ml ). Or, as a quicker mask like Farmacy Honey Potion Plus Ceramide Hydration Mask .

In terms of makeup products overall I try to avoid products with fragrance and look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, collagen peptides and ceramides.
