Lip treatment recommendations?

I’m struggling with extremely dry lips! I’ve never had dryness this bad, and usually lip balm is enough to soothe my lips, but I’ve been struggling for a weeks with dry, flaky lips with painful cracks. Can anyone recommend a lip treatment that has helped them with this issue? Thanks!!

@anatheactivist If the cracks are painful or irritating, try Blistex Medex balm. It has a cooling effect that might help sooth your lips. For repair, I used Blistex Deep Moisturizer Renewal. Both are easy to find at your local drugstore or pharmacy section.

One that I’m currently using and enjoying is COSRX Ceramide lip mask. It’s a k-beauty brand and easy to find online or at your local Asian beauty shop. Sometimes it also shows up at Marshall’s/Winners

VASELINE!! it’s the answer for everything with my dry skin.

Re: Lip treatment recommendations?

I've dealt with very dry lips in the past due to taking Accutane so I completely understand the struggle. Here's what helped me:

1. Aquaphor Lip Repair

2. CeraVe Healing Ointment

3. Aquaphor Healing Ointment

4. LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Intense Hydration with Vitamin C Berry

5. Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm 0.13 oz/ 3.8 g

Good luck!

For the night, I use the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Peppermint. While the day, you could try some good old vaseline.

@anatheactivist If your lips are already flaking so bad that they're cracking, you might want to avoid exfoliants.  Try wetting your lips with water (not saliva) and applying an occlusive ointment like the Aquafor Healing Ointment or regular Vaseline over top.  I'd keep that up as long as possible until your lips start to heal, making sure to really load op the ointment at night before bed.
