HELP concealer keeps separating with the same routine?

this makes me wanna cry every morning but lately my concealer been separating real bad on my skin and dark circles, which is weird cause i’ve been having the same routine?

the only thing that i thought could’ve been a problem was maybe the fact i accidentally applied too much aha/bha (during the night i use it) so lately i’ve been doing everything to hydrate my skin (only hydrating products, slugging) and still it does that?it’s probably not that big of a deal but matters sm to me

and btw before that happened i’m pretty sure my skin is  not dry but combination

@dopeangel, keep hydrated and apply slightly less concealer than you normally would for now.  Also, consider using a different tool for application (fingers vs wet sponge ) if you haven't already.

Skin cell turnover is age dependent, but it takes awhile - anywhere from two weeks to a month.  So, if your eyes are extra dry from the extra acid🤷🏽‍♀️ or dry air, that could be why that keeps happening.  It could also be the products themselves, clean formulas can have shorter shelf life.

so will my skin actually turn back normal cause this is making me so anxious

I was having issues with this myself a few months ago. What’s your routine right now? How soon after your skincare do you apply your concealer?

Otherwise, could it be due to winter dryness?

Re: HELP concealer keeps separating with the same routine?

i was skinny this one cycle routine so at night it would be either aha/bha, or retinol, or hydration with stuff like hyaluronic acid (and at morning vitamin c +hyaluronic acid) but since then i’ve been just applying either retinol or hydrating products or both and slugging every night

and tbh i do my eyebrows first while waiting for it to dry but maybe i should leave it more?

and i’ve never got this issue before w winter so idk
