Great Daily Routine for Dry Skin

Hello, I live in Florida, and I have extremely dry skin. I am looking for a daily (morning and/or night) routine to relieve my skin. My skin FLAKES, really bad, no matter how much or how less I exfoliate. I always have extremely dry patches on my skin. When I wear makeup, I do moisturize and prime, but even then I look like it is caked on and it settles in the dry patches. I spoke to my dermatologist, and she said it is normal and "just to moisturize." I still haven't found my holy grail of skin care routine. I am hoping someone knows my struggles, and can help a girl out.

For reference, I use the following products:

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II

Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme + Moisturizer

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion +

IT! Cosmetics CC Cream in foundation

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer

Anastasia Beverly Hills Duo Eyebrow Powder/ Clear Gel

Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover

It! Cosmetics Radiance Ombre Bronzer and Ombre Blush

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea concealer

Urban Decay Setting Spray

Kat Von D Setting Powder

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara

Re: Great Daily Routine for Dry Skin

Hey lady, I know it has the potential to be expensive, but have you considered going to see an esthetician, especially one who specializes in skin care over makeup application (although most will probably be doing both).

I ask because it was recommended to me when I mentioned asking my dermatologist about skin issues. It might be just the problem for an esthetician to solve with you.

Just be aware, they may try and push the products they sell.

RE: Great Daily Routine for Dry Skin

I've had similar issues before myself. I've had a lot of success with using all products with natural ingredients. Try K-Beauty products...they are very gentle on skin. Drunk Elephant has great products for dry and sensitive skin. For my routine I typically use the a gel Cleanser like the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea one. I have recently started using the Fresh Beauty Rose Deep Hydration Toner and it works wonders. Herbivore Botanicals has a great mist that is ultra hydrating and you can use throughout the day. I also like the one from toocoolforschool. I always use an oil with moisturizer on my face. My favorite oils are the tarte maracuja/Drunk Elephant virgin marula oil/fresh beauty Seaberry facial oil. Hope your patches go away! I always hated that! I still get some on my neck sometimes
