Foundation for dry sensitive skin

I've tried countless foundations for dry skin, and they never work. They always look cakey and crack or emphasize my dry spots. What's a really good dewy foundation that won't do this?

Foundation for dry sensitive skin

I love the born this way foundation for days that my skin is super dry with the hangover primer underneath.

Re: Foundation for dry sensitive skin

Wander Beauty Nude Illusion Liquid Foundation Light DIOR - Dior Forever Skin Glow 24h* Wear Radiant Perfection Skin-Caring Foundation are my two current favorites. If anyone has tried any of the new foundations out for dry skin please let me know. I have a foundation addiction. I ordered the new #CharlotteTilbury Airbrush Flawless Longwear Foundation from the CT site, but have not received it yet. I believe it is now available for everybody on the CT site. It was there early for VIP. I will update you after I receive it and try it. What I have seen of the reviews of it on youtube were very promising.

The Wander Beauty stick foundation is super hydrating and glowy. I use it when my skin is extra dry and needs some tlc.

Re: Foundation for dry sensitive skin

When I'm super dry I use the born this way foundation. Although i believe that some times other things do the trick to avoid cakey foundation.

1) using a sponge. For me it's a hassle (cause I clean it every time I use it)  but it just works better. It gives you a more radiant and hydrating looking skin.

2) after you wet your sponge and apply  foundation and spray the sponge with a luminous setting spay such as a Mac fix plus

3)u a blurring primer. I know it sounds crazy but I used the photofinish smashbox primer after hidrating the skin and it work wonderful. Basically it smooth the patchy areas so the foundation wouldn't grave on it

Hi @Camillekunk,

I suggest the CLINIQUE Even Better™ Glow Light Reflecting Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 which is fragrance free and allergy tested. It also has a soft finish that adds a bit of glow to the skin.

Try the Dior Forever skin glow.

@Camillekunk You can try LANCôME - SKIN FEELS GOOD Skin Nourishing Foundation or  NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 St. Moritz

RE: Foundation for dry sensitive skin

I absolutely loooove the Lancôme Skin Feels Good foundation with my super dry skin. It’s super moisturizing and never clings to flakes. A little goes a long way. It also has SPF which I always appreciate! If my skin is more hydrated I really like the new Tarte Foundcealer. This works best after some good exfoliation and hydration, but it can make your skin look flawless. I’m posting a pic of me wearing it from this weekend below—I don’t use setting powder and the only things on top are bronzer and blush. i love how dewy and glowy it makes my skin look, since it’s usually so dull! Both are sheer to medium coverage which I prefer, but Lancôme’s can be layered more for fuller coverage. I hope this helps you!!

Re: RE: Foundation for dry sensitive skin

Are you wearing the Tarte or Lancome in your picture. I thought the Tarte Foundcealor was a matte foundation. Might need to check it out if it isn't matte. Trying to order some good foundations why the sale is going on.

Foundation for dry sensitive skin

I have dry and sensitive skin too. So far the only foundation that works for me is the Tart rainforest of the sea foundation. It's light weight, the coverage is nice and it doesn't break me out or anything.

Re: Foundation for dry sensitive skin

Have you tried the TOO FACED - Born This Way Foundation@Camillekunk? Also, if you apply your foundation with a brush, I would recommend wetting it with a dewy setting spray (I use the  Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Primer Water Photo Finish Primer Water ). And I would recommend making sure your skin in properly moisturized before putting on your makeup. A hydrating primer might help too. Good luck in your foundation hunt!
