Dry, red skin. Help!

Hi all. I am a 46 year old woman who really for the first time in my life wants to start taking better care of my skin. My skin is very dry and red. I don’t have really anybody in my life that is big on skin care so would love some advice from you. I guess my daughter is into it, but ya know asking her would be like wasting her time or something! lol. Anyway, if anyone could give me some tips or tricks and suggestions on products to use I would really appreciate it.
