Dry Under Eyes- Concealer

Hi every time I put my color corrector then my concealer, my eye dry look dry I right away. I have tried many different concealers and don’t know what do anymore. Has anyone experience this issue ? I don’t know what I am doing wrong.

Re: Dry Under Eyes- Concealer

Are you incorporating a hydrating eye cream? I find that with this issue, the tarte shape tape™ full coverage natural matte concealer  has been incredible, then set with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Longwear Setting Powder Translucent for the staying power! With dry skin I follow that with a hood hydrating spray for setting.

Re: Dry Under Eyes- Concealer

Hi @Sapphire30. I read through both your posts. Are either of your colour correction or concealer new to you? Have you used them successfully in the past?

And quick tip: Sephora doesn’t automatically inform people when you’ve replied. We usually get around this by using @ to tag them. Just hit @ and start typing their username. You can also use it to reference other threads on here. # works similarly but for tagging specific products. 🙂

@JoSometimes @Thanks for tip🙂

I have been using the color corrector and the concealer for a couple of months now and struggling with the concealer looking dry

@SportyGirly125 @SportyGirly125 I don’t use a setting powder cause when I do then my under eyes tend to look very dry

Re: Dry Under Eyes- Concealer

@Sapphire30 Interesting… How much concealer are you using? You generally don’t need much, especially if it’s a full coverage concealer. Also, are you doing anything to set it after?

Re: Dry Under Eyes- Concealer

@SportyGirly125 I use to apply  Sephora Brightening Under eye cream with hyaluronic acid but that didn’t make any difference

Routine

after I wash my face I use hyaluronic acid serum over my face including under my eyes then I use The ordinary Caffeine  solution drops under my eyes and then after that dries,  I mix cerave moisturizer with some drop of Rosehip Seed Oil over my face including my under eyes. I then use the Vasanti Color Corrector and then put on a thin layer of the Dior Concealer under my eyes

Re: Dry Under Eyes- Concealer

@Sapphire30 , it might be the caffeine.  I've used that serum and found it to be drying after awhile.  If I use it, it's sparingly.  Maybe reduce how often you use it and still continue with the rest of your routine and see if that makes a difference.

Also, consider mixing your color corrector and concealer together as opposed to separate layers and use a damp sponge to blend.  Mixing together should achieve the same effect, but use less product overall so there's less deposit.

@danielledanielle @Thanks for the suggestion , will try this out.🙂

Re: Dry Under Eyes- Concealer

@Sapphire30 @It might be the concealer or color corrector isn’t working with your skin type.

Maybe switch to a different color corrector or concealer and see if anything changes.
