Drunk Elephant or Sunday Riley?

Hi Guys!! I am looking to purchase either the Sunday Riley Good genes night sera or get the drunk elephant night serum (Pink bottle) and didn't know if anyone had tried the two and liked one better? I have dry skin and getting some pre mature aging so I think it's time to add a new serum into my skincare lineup! Also has anyone tried the Sunday Riley Luna Retinol serum? I was thinking of trying that out too! Thanks in advance guys!!

Re: Drunk Elephant or Sunday Riley?

I personally don't feel that either works for my dryish skin, @CourtAnneTay, but thats just my skin! Thats why I love minis. And both of these come in great mini sets. The Drunk Elephant Been A Long Day™ Glycolic Serum + Moisturizer Duo or Sunday Riley Flash Fix Kit . These should each give you at least a month of product to test. Better to test using a mini to see if works for your skin than to spend $$ on full sized products or even the power couple kit.

I do love Luna, and I thought it came in a smaller kit with the Good Genes (maybe on the Sunday Riley website direct?).

Also, at least the Sunday Riley often shows up in Sephora Favorites so you could also look for those.

Re: Drunk Elephant or Sunday Riley?

Yes! I have tried both. Currently using Sunday Riley Good Genes but used DE glycolic night serum for quite some time but wanted to switch it up. Honestly I really like them both but if had to choose, I love DE’s night serum. Maybe a little less drying for me? I usually try to use a good moisturizer  over top. I’ve also used Farmacy honeymoon glow and it’s decent but I truly feel DE’s is the best!

Re: Drunk Elephant or Sunday Riley?

I haven’t tried the DE serum, but have tried SR’s Good Genes and the Luna Sleeping Oil. My skin (dry with signs of premature aging - hello late 20’s and outdoor sports) responded really well to both. If you want to test them out, I’d recommend the SR Power Couple kit with the Luna Sleeping Oil and GG. It’s $107. The oil is 15ml (on its own it’s $70). The GG is 15ml and is more of a large sample size (the smallest size outside of a kit is 30ml and it’s $112) but would let you try out the product rather than splurging. I’ve also heard good things about Biossance’s lactic acid but haven’t tried it yet! Hope this is helpful!
