Daily Skincare Tips for Dry Skin

Hi everyone, I’m currently exploring daily skincare routines that effectively tackle dry skin—especially with colder weather setting in. I’d love to hear what moisturizers, serums, or home remedies have worked for you. Are there particular ingredients or brands you swear by? And if you have any tips for applying products or boosting moisture retention, I’d be so grateful for the insight.

Hi @nancy313 fellow dry skin girlie here. 👋😃

Some tips I have for dry skin are,

1) Patting my skin dry and not rubbing it with a towel. I gently use my hands to pat the moisture into my skin and I quickly follow up with my serums and moisturizers while my skin is still damp to help seal in that moisture.

2) Getting a silk pillow case can be really helpful for your skin and your hair. Bonus 😁

3) Using warm *not* hot water when washing. I find for me hot water increases dryness on my skin. 

4) Getting yourself a humidifier if you're living somewhere dry during the winter can be really helpful.

If your skin is dry and sensitive meaning it reacts quickly to products, I would go for the gentle cleanser from curology and the la rouche posay double repair moisturizer
