smile lines ๐Ÿคข

I have the worst smile lines ever and Iโ€™ll do anything at this point to make my makeup not settle in them lol. Iโ€™ve tried most of the foundations in Sephora and my go to so far is Huda Beauty. Before that I used Fenty and All Nighter. If anyone knows of a full coverage foundation that doesnโ€™t settle I would Be very appreciative ๐Ÿ˜‚

RE: smile lines ๐Ÿคข

I have found really packing on powder in the smile line area (I struggle with this too, itโ€™s my biggest insecurity when wearing makeup) helps. The only foundation ever I have tried that 80% of the time didnโ€™t settle into my lines was Estรฉe Lauder Double Wear, but thatโ€™s when I was combo/oily skin type also it has like the worst flash back ever so I have since stopped using it. Now even today when I set really well most of the time Iโ€™ll still have a smidge of settling but nothing near as if I were to not set the area. Also depends on what foundation or primer I use under. Any silicone based primer should help fill in pores and fine lines. Also skin care has helped a tonnnnn. Anything with glycolic acid will help promote new skin cel growth and help reduce fine lines and pores. Anti-aging products usual help target fine lines and such. Try that!

Wow love you!! Thank you!! ๐Ÿ’•

I would try baking for a few minutes with some loose powder. I donโ€™t know the order in which you do your face but I usually do my brows while I let the powder sit and then dust it off after. It makes a huge difference for me!

Hey there! I've also struggled with smile lines in the past, so I know how frustrating it can be. May I ask what type of skin you have?

RE: Re: smile lines ๐Ÿคข

Norma/combination type skin. I donโ€™t normally get super oily around those areas or anything so I donโ€™t know why it constantly happens ๐Ÿ˜ž I always bake my face also for like ten minutes before I wipe the powder off. But I find after like two hours Iโ€™m already applying more powder to blend the lines

You might actually be too dry in that area, then. When I struggled with smile lines, everyone said to use a matte foundation and set with powder, but then I discovered the problem was lack of moisture, not too much. Try using an illuminating primer in the area where you get lines and maybe switch to a more dewy foundation. You also might want to pick up a hydrating setting spray. Hope this helps!

This made the biggest difference for me. I get really oily on the top of my nose but around my nose and mouth I'm really dry. So when I use a primer for oily skin all the makeup around my mouth looks super dry, cakey and settles in my smile lines. I switched to just applying mattifying primer on my nose (NYX Angel Veil) and a hydrating primer around my mouth (smashbox hydrating primer).
