Hi @MEGIEE,
Not sure if you're still interested in new foundations but I stumbled upon this post and I wanted to share that I am a huge fan of the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream with SPF 50+ and Wanderlust Powder Foundation from Wander Beauty! Both provide great natural coverage 🙂
Best,
Emily
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea!!! Pure perfection!!!!
@MEGIEE, I love trying out new foundations! I don't know if I can pick just one, but let's see...
Lately, I've been trying out cushion compacts and I love Hera UV Ultra Moisture cushion compact. Unfortunately, they have a limited shade range, but if you can find a good match, it's fantastic - buildable, provides coverage without looking made up at all, and feels great on my combination-dry, dehydrated skin. Since I've been wearing it, I've received several compliments that my skin looks smooth and glowing.
Before discovering the Hera cushion compact, my go to was the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I still like the LSF, but use that less for everyday.
So when I read your question, my first thought was "Out of the foundations I currently own, which ones are re-purchases?" and the only one was Bare Minerals Original Foundation, so I'll declare that one the winner. I wouldn't call it holy grail, though, just the closest thing. I really like the way it looks on me (it adds a nice sheen, looks exceptionally natural and skin-like, and has a neutral undertone -- most foundations have too much undertone for me), but I have dry skin and powder foundation isn't the best option for retaining moisture.
I haven't found an HG yet (well, I did and it was discontinued). I've tried about 50 different foundations. For reference, I have very oily and aging skin so I have to be careful with mattes and full coverage that can emphasize wrinkles and textures. Right now I'm using Bobbi Brown Skin or Bare Minerals Pro powder foundation. If I want full coverage, Lancome Tient Idole Long Wear is my fave. I'm also sensitive to bismuth oxychloride - so if it's in the foundation, that eliminates it from the start.
MAC Face & Body. Also Perricones No Foundation foundation.
