What is a color IQ!?

Hey ladies and gents I am trying to complete my profile on here and I have no idea what it means where it asks for color IQ. What is that and how do I figure out what mine is??

Hey love ! So a color IQ is what we do to get a general idea of what your foundation matches would be for any of the foundation/concealer/lip products in store. We have this fancy machine that we made with Pantone that give us a number based on 3 photos of your skin that will tell us how deep your tone is and then how deep your undertone is. So like my number is 3Y07. If you go into your local Sephora just ask any cast member and they can do it for you & then save your number to your account from the store iPad 😊

there is a way to reverse lookup the number if you know what type of shades you need. for example if you type in 3R05 in the search bar it will show you all foundations that match that color ID. much easier to go into a store, but you can always change the number later if you go about it the reverse lookup way

I just searched it. If you go to the store they will match your skin to a number to help you find the perfect match. Then you can save it to your profile.
