What are your opinions on translucent powder? What is the point of it?

What are some of your favorite ones for fair skinned people? Should I even be using one ?

For me, I found that it finishes and locks in my makeup right before my finishing spray.

I love using cover FX. I have it in the dark color since I'm brown skin and it helps absorb all of the oil so as the day goes on I can apply a little to get that Matte finish without spending all of that money on blotting papers!
