The Ordinary Skincare

I am wondering if someone could guide me in the proper usage and order of application for The Ordinary skincare line.  With so many products I want to know that I am using them properly.  I am age 59 with dry sensitive skin.

Thank you!!!

Re: The Ordinary Skincare

As for product recommendations, anything with ceramides, peptides, or anything that promotes hydration and not harsh on the skin barrier

I'm personally not a fan of the ordinary as I have sensitive skin myself but when I search those key words these products come up:

The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser - Hydrating Makeup Remover 5 oz/ 150 mL

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + PhytoCeramides - Moisture-Rich Surface Hydration 3.4 oz / 100 mL

Re: The Ordinary Skincare

🤠 Hi,

They normally have instructions to follow on the package but here are a couple ways to do it:

1. Cleanser

2. Exfoliant

3. Toner

4. Serum

5. Eye cream

6. Moisturizer (if you're trying to use retinol, I recommend mixing your retinol with your moisturizer)

7. Spf

Another method is to do cleanser and then layer on your skincare from least viscous to most viscous meaning liquids, then gels, then creams

Re: The Ordinary Skincare

Usually they have instructions for application. For serums i usually just put some on my hand and rub it in. For cleanser, I make sure my hands are clean and my hands and face are damp. I put a little on my hand and rub my hands together for about 20 seconds then wash my face for 60 seconds. Also make sure that you get products that specifically target your skin goals (dryness, anti-aging, acne, etc.). I hope this helps!
