The Ordinary L-Absorbic Acid = Oompa Loompa

Hey

Spoiler

Friends,

Through this never-ending lockdown year, I’ve concentrated a lot of time to tweaking my skincare routine.

Most recently I’ve added The Ordinary L-absorbic acid to my mornings, mixed in with hyaluronic acid. I thought all was good... until today while cruising with my sunroof open. I nearly died when I saw orange blotches around my hairline, my neck... all over the place.

What.is.happening?!

My morning routine is as follows:

clean skin, REN AHA daily tonic.
damp skin with rose water, mix and apply HA with L-absorbic acid. Wait to dry.
Apply niacinimide and buffet w/copper.
Brighten-i and Symbright by Inkey List.
Then Waso by Shiseido.
Then Too Faced loose setting powder.

I hate to think this has been happening a whole lot before noticing today... but I have noticed a slight pinkish tone on my cotton rounds when cleansing my neck at night. And I do believe that started around the same time as adding the L-absorbic powder into my regime.

Please help! I would like to keep vitamin C in my morning routine... am I applying it wrong?

I look forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions!

Thank you SO much for any insight you can offer!

Is it possible you're using too much of the powder in your mixture, @jettabaloo?
