Stick foundation?

Iโ€™ve been having trouble with my foundation because it always moves around and breaks appart. I tried with different primers, no primers, powder, no powder, different foundations but always the same results.
I heard that stick foundations are less likely to break appart. Iโ€™ve been wanting to try them out but Iโ€™m afraid it will look heavy because itโ€™s a stick product.

Anyone has recommendations or experience with this type of foundation?

@MyleneLorr I have the HUDA BEAUTY #FauxFilter Skin Finish Buildable Coverage Foundation Stick  and I like it pretty well.  The coverage is light/buildable, it has a natural matte finish that can easily be mattified more with powder or sprayed with a dewy setting spray for a luminous look, and it wears nicely/fades gracefully.

@MyleneLorr  I just got the MERIT The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Foundation and Concealer Stick   last week and I have been using it every day. I love how it applied and itโ€™s able to be built up or sheered out. Itโ€™s lasted me all day as well. I totally recommend it.

Re: Stick foundation?

I just bought a stick foundation today!! I bought Maybelline Fit Me foundation in the shade porcelain. I haven't tested it on my face yet, but I tried some on my arm and It blended super nicely only after blending it with my fingers!

Re: Stick foundation?

I really like stick foundations! For some reason, they are the only ones that blend and apply smoothly with the texture of my skin. Liquids and powders never seem to lay right. I've never had any issues with them breaking down, and all the ones I have tried last a fair amount of time on my skin (I'm combo/oily).

My favorites are Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick   Hourglass Vanishโ„ข Seamless Finish Foundation Stick 15 Almond  and Lancรดme Teint Idole Ultra Wear 5-In-1 Foundation Stick . I think Bobbi Brown gives you the most natural look, the Lancรดme one is a soft matte, but still very natural, and the Hourglass one is a little more full coverage.

When it comes to applying, I just swipe the stick anywhere on my face that I need coverage and blend out with a brush or sponge.

Re: Stick foundation?

@lizziev92 Does it cover blemishes or acne? Wearing a mask has given me bright red acne and I canโ€™t seem to cover it up. Right now I am using Makeup forever HD and it is too sheer and I canโ€™t build it up. Do you think the sticks would work better?
