Setting spray breaks me out

Hey guys, setting spray usually breaks me out, but my makeup could really use one. Plain water or Mario badescu doesnโ€™t hold it in place. Any ideas on what I could go for?

Hey Tammy. One that I love is the Marc Jacobs coconut setting spray. Itโ€™s super hydrating and refreshing. And keeps my makeup in place all day long.

@Tammystiletto may I ask what setting sprays you have used that you feel broke you out?

I have found from experience, I must avoid any type of makeup, setting powder, setting spray etc with ingredients that has the words cones in it -silicones, dimethicone, methicone, trimethicone etc. I have to look up ingredients since there are silicones in other names I've also found that end in xane, like polypropylsilsesquioxane and cyclopentasiloxane. The silicones that end in xane I seem to be able to tolerate better if I must, especially if its in the middle to end of the list of ingredients. I also have noticed I can usually tolerate silicones around my eye, lip, elbows, hands, feet and legs from the knees down. Around my Monthly or any time my skin is acting up, I try to avoid anything that can trigger breakouts, like Bite Beauty lipsticks because I like to over line. And will use Bare minerals Bronzer and avoid Shadows and anything with silicones in them. Currently silicones are in most cosmetics and skincare products so I can am always on the hunt for alternatives that are silicone free. For very dry mature skins or those that never have issues with clogged pores, silicones can be a great humectant and help blur wrinkles and pores but that's not me. I am grateful to have found the culprit to my skin because I wasted so much money on everything even blemish treatments with silicones that we're making me worse, I was none the wiser. I prime over freshly exfoliated skin, with Cinema Secrets Super Sealer Mattifying Setting Spray and set over Cinema Secrets Ultralucent Setting Powder in Colorless to avoid flashback photography over Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Camoflage Makeup for Face and Body over Neogen Dermalogy SPF 50 or Drunken Elephant untinted SPF but sometimes this one can pill. If I want to sheer out my foundation for a lighter look I use Ren Satin Perfection BB Cream or Benefit Porefessional Pore Minimizing Makeup and or add a drop of Tata Harper Clarifying Moisturizer it REN Global Protection Day Cream if I am feeling very dry from face masks and peels. I either mix it together on my finger and apply it in parts using a small concealer brush for corners or the Estee Lauder over the BB Cream or or Benefit Porefessional. If I over spray the Cinema Secrets setting spray more than the X and T motion over your face than I find it will over dry my skin and make me older and not as fresh and young. And I always have to spray after all makeup is done even eyeliner and lip liner except mascara and lipstick because I don't like the dryness in that area, sometimes I hold tanning goggles to avoid my eye orbital area usually around winter time but in humid summers I like the extra seal and usually have a pinch of chaptick on so my lips aren't affected and the setting spray acts as a mild primer for lipstick which I find applies better with a lip brush if I have the time. Hope this helps.

@Tammystiletto  Try UDโ€™s Chill setting spray, GlamGlowโ€™s setting spray and Smashboxโ€™s Primer Water if you havenโ€™t already.
