Setting Powders without flashback?

Looking for a setting powder to bake my under eye concealer that won’t give flashback. I’ve tried the Laura Mercier powder to no avail. I currently have the Cover FX powder but I’m not sure if I like it yet. Opinions on the Too Faced Peach powder and the Hourglass veil powder would be appreciated too

RE: Setting Powders without flashback?

Talc is something that causes flashback in powders. Just read the ingredients and make sure it doesn’t have it. However, the powders can be good for center of the face for brightening with light so it depends if you do a lot of photography. Ultra white powders usually have talc in it. But KVD, too faced, cover fx, those are awesome with zero flashback.

Hi @CFernie,

I agree with @diamondlove! The Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder – Peaches and Cream Collection is one of my favorite setting powders. I never experience any flashback with this powder and it smells amazing. 🙂 It's currently sold out, so I recommend adding your email to the product page here to be notified when it's back in stock > https://www.sephora.com/product/peach-perfect-mattifying-setting-powder-peaches-cream-collection-P42...

Setting Powders without flashback?

OMG the Too Faced Peach Perfect setting powder is amazing I honestly believe my skin looks smoother with it the powder does have a pink undertone to it I been using it for awhile and have never noticed any flashback. The Hourglass one I tried like two times honestly it doesn't really blow my mind away like I was expecting it too I think it just may have been a little overhyped anyway from what I noticed it feels like silk on the skin and gives the skin a nice subtle glow also it doesn't show up on the skin it really translucent and invisible and has no flashback.

RE: Setting Powders without flashback?

Also consider the KVD Setting Powder!

Re: Setting Powders without flashback?

@CFernie,

I recommend trying a powder with a slight tint to it! It will also help brighten up the under eye area. The peach works well for warmer/golden undertones and the pink works best for cooler/pink undertone skin.
