Sample Question

I am planning to hunt for the perfect concealer (I’m scraping the bottles of mine, and one of them isn’t even the right shade!), but I don’t know where I want to go. I have more points to use at Ulta and an Ulta store is much closer to me, but Sephora has more brands and gives samples of products, which I think would be best to test out all the concealers. Does anyone know if Ulta gives out samples of products? If I ask for a sample of a certain concealer that they have, will I be able to get one? If not, then I’m going to Sephora, but if so, then I really don’t know. Please help me out!

I know this doesn't really answer your question, but if I were you, I would opt to buy mini concealers instead to test them out. Most people test products directly on themselves, like if there's a wand for the tester they will have it touch their hand or arm directly. When it comes time to put it on their actual face, then they'll grab a disposable wand... but it doesn't change the fact that the tube itself has already been contaminated with "x" people's natural bacteria and pathogenic bacteria and viruses. For something that presumably goes on the eye area, I would not take the risk. It sucks to have to spend money to test something out, but in instances where you cannot guarantee sterility, I think it's worth losing coin than end up with something you may regret. As long as you aren't an avid returner, you shouldn't get flagged either.

@KelseyTutorials  Ulta doesn’t give samples, unfortunately. Sales associates aren’t allowed to make samples for customers. They’ll instead offer to apply it to you in-store. 

You could visit Sephora, get samples, and buy whichever concealer you like best from another retailer if you don’t want to travel all the way back to Sephora.
