My makeup won't stay on!!

I have tried everything imaginable to get my makeup to stay on throughout the day. I have tried all sorts of primers, setting sprays, foundations, and even changed my skincare routine but can't find anything that makes it stay on!!

What foundation are you using? I have a hard time using any cream product. I generally reach for liquid and add a light layer of powder after it sets, but some liquids still transfer on me. If you post more details, we'll be better able to help. The type of primer and moisturizer can also affect the longevity of your makeup. For instance, you'd want a water based primer underneath a water based foundation. Is the issue that your makeup fades throughout the day, breaks down/separates, moves, or transfers?

If you have normal to oily skin try putting some translucent powder on your face after primer but before your foundation then you can continue the rest of your normal make up routine. This should increase the longevity.

Do you have any particular problem spots? What's your skin type?

I have oily skin and a few pimples here and there but not so much redness.

Try Hourglass Veil Mineral primer!!! It's a life saver. and cimena secrets setting powder. I know a big problem for me was that I was always touching my face so my makeup would move around. Remember to keep your hands or anything else off your face too!!

Smashbox pore filler primer

MUFE foundation

It Cosmetics loose translucent powder

Then I set it with the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray

First, I would use a tacky primer to help adhere your makeup to your face better. Good tacky primers are Becca’s, j one Jelly Pack, and (one of my favorites) Soap and Glory’s One Heck of a Blot primer. Then I would go with a matte foundation like Estee Lauder’s double wear, Laura Mercier’s ultra long wearing foundation and Too Faced peach foundation. Then set the foundation with a good translucent powder like Laura Mercier’s Cover FX or Too Faced love ethereal powder. When you are done with bronzing, blush and highlight, seal it all in with a good setting spray like Urban Decay’s All Nighter or De-Slick spray.
