Matching between brands

So I bought the peach perfect foundation in nude and LOVED IT but it was too dark for me. Went to the store to get a match. Turns out I am the lightest shade they have which is snow. The weird thing is I donโ€™t like that one as much? I find it starts to break up throughout the day where the nude shade didnโ€™t. Is that normal? 2nd question, was thinking of trying the Huda foundation. Does anyone know what shade I would be if I was snow it two faced? Or have a foundation to recommend?

Re: Matching between brands

Hi, @katem0. I'd suggest using Sephora's Color IQ to help find shade matches.

Here's the link: https://www.sephora.com/color-iq

If you do not have a Color IQ number yet, don't worry. You can search the brand you currently wear (that's sold at Sephora), select your foundation formula & shade, and then click "match me."

I went ahead & plugged your information in, and Color IQ #1Y03 matches the Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation in the shade Snow.

The link below lists all of the foundation shades that are similar to the Too Faced one. You also have the option to adjust the shade (lighter or darker) and/or filter the results further.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a direct match in the Color IQ system between Too Faced Peach Perfect Snow and any of the Huda Beauty foundation shades. However, the Huda #FauxFilter Foundation shade in Angel Food 110N may work (it corresponds to #1Y02, which is a shade lighter than #1Y03). I also looked at shade matches on findation DOT com, and that site suggested the Huda #FauxFilter Foundation shade in Vanilla 120B

I'd highly recommend swatching shades in-store, though. That would honestly be the best way to find a foundation match. After all, the Color IQ system and similar sites are not perfect.

Hopefully, others will chime in with some insight about the Too Faced foundation wear time inconsistencies, and other foundation shade or formula suggestions.

I hope this helps!
