Is it REALLY that bad to use old foundation

So I have a foundation that say expired 11/18 and another I bought the same time. Both still smell fine and have not changed color. Do you guys really throw out your old foundation even if it looks good?

Hi @gingerdoe!

Definitely throw them away.  It might smell or look fine to use, but any expired makeup will have bacteria in them which is bad for your skin and can cause breakouts.

I won’t wear expired foundation. Toss it! I’d be worried it would break me out.

@gingerdoe If you already opened it I would toss it. If it has an expiration date on the bottle to be safe I would toss it as well.  You don’t want to risk an allergic reaction on your face.
