Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder

These products seem to have a major following. I've read about the brand's concept of how different lighting creates different looks. I've also read these are finishing powders. I rarely bother with foundation/cc cream. I'm wondering if people use these and see benefit from them without being used over base makeup. I'm tempted to try one of the holiday palettes but not really sure I'd use a bronzer and never use highlighters. I'm curious and want to try these but don't know where to start or if my expectation without foundation  is reasonable. Can some of the lovely BIC community share their knowledge? Thanks in advance!

I'm suspicious to talk about the brand, I have the full size blushs and minis, the blush palettes and the powders. And it really is a brand that stands out among the others, for its fine finish and light diffusion, makes each product unique and creates unique looks. The powder holds oil well without the need for many products such as mattes foundations, leaves a natural light on the face. It is amazing!

Hourglass is a permanent fixture in my make up bag because of the versatility of their products. I use the finishing powder over foundation, over just moisturizer or just my bare face.

As mentioned below, it's a great way to control shine and deflect light from some not-so-perfect areas. Their blushes are also straight from heaven. I'm planning to pick up ghost this week. It's on the pricier side but you won't be disappointed. Plus you get tons of product which will last probably until next year's palette!

Hi @sprocketta! I've been loving the Hourglass finishing powder to control shine on my face, without base makeup. I find that it helps to gently contour and brighten my complextion for those minimal makeup days.  I usually prefer cream products, but appreciate the way that these sit on my skin and compliment it. I only use a bit!

That helps @bakeamuffin Which one do you use?  Not like I need more makeup, but these are intriguing and I've heard such good things.

I use Dim Light most, but also like diffused light when I want to disguise redness @sprocketta ☺️
