HELP! Foundation is looking patchy

Hey y'all! So I have this issue when I apply foundation (yes I'm priming) where after it sits for a minute after application, it looks patchy or like it's not taking to my skin? I don't know what to do. It's so annoying. I moisturize, prime and just don't know what my skin is doing. I'm using Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme and Too Faced HangoverRx primer. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure you are exfoliating and using a detox mask frequently to really clean out ur pores. If you have clogged pores foundation tends to just sit on too of your face rather than blending in. Also make sure the products you are using are not too heavy. Try sticking to one primer for now and see how it works out.

I had this issue with a few foundations. Sometimes its the Water Based vs Oil based. If your primer is one and your foundation is another it sometimes doesn't stick together and it 'slips'. Checking the ingredients to make sure they work together did wonders for making my makeup not get patchy on my nose. Also setting lightly with a dusting of powder and a big fluffy brush and setting spray! 

On days I'm doing a full face and its a lot of stuff (i.e foundation and contour and concealer and highlighter) Ill do my powder and setting spray after foundation. Then again once everything else is on and its helped! 

Also skincare has made a huge difference in how my makeup looks. Making sure I'm using a AHA/BHA instead of manually exfoliating helps with texture and making sure I've got moisturizer and often a serum/special product for certain areas (eye cream, vitamin C etc) helps also! Oh and hydrate! Such an important thing people always forget, if I haven't had enough water in the day before or so I find my foundation looks more MEH!

Could your moisturizer be too heavy for daytime?  I moisturize with a few drops of 100% Argan oil (Jose Maran) after my toner and before I put on my BB cream and have no problems.

You know what? I’m having the same issue. I prep my skin as always using toner and my moisturizer. For primer I wear hourglass veil. I haven’t had this problem before and I like my KVD foundation which has been my favorite and wear most of the time. I hope someone can help us, if not, I think I’m gonna return it.
