Flashback help! (Smashbox)

I was recently given a sample of the Smashbox studio skin foundation in the shade 1.2. I have been extensively searching for the perfect foundation that a) is a good match, b) doesnโ€™t flash back, and c) has a medium to full coverage. I was told that this would look great with flash photography by employees. I was thrilled that the foundation matched well to my neck and chest and had decent coverage HOWEVER, it had an astonishing amount of flashback! Can anyone explain why thismight be despite the foundationโ€™s and employeeโ€™s claims? Has anyone elseexperienced this with this foundation or others? Would you consider this to be flashback? Is it my eyes playing trick on me? Iโ€™ve experienced this with several foundations already! Itโ€™s frustrating! (See photosdown below. The first is taken without flash, sorry about the messy hair lol)

Re: Flashback help! (Smashbox)

@BellaCM - Titanium Dioxide and Silica are the 4th and 7th ingredient. These substances are often the cause of flashback in cosmetics. Are you wearing setting powder? If you're setting powder contains silica, that could also be the reason. Wearing a physical sunscreen (ie. Titanium Dioxide) underneath could also be a reason.

RE: Re: Flashback help! (Smashbox)

I took photos of myself before I added setting powder (RCMA no color powder) and the rest of my makeup and it still flashed back as much if not more than after I finished. I didnโ€™t put sunscreen underneath. Itโ€™s just odd how a foundation that claims to look good in all types of lighting situations, flash included, would do this. It seems misleading.
