Fine Radiant Setting Powder Recommendation

Hi - I'm looking for an ultra fine loose setting powder that provides a subtle glow.

I've done some research and am considering one of the following powders... do you recommend any of these? Or another product?

Thanks!

KOH GEN DO - Natural Lighting Powder

Viseart Seamless Setting Powder 0.28 oz/ 8 g

STELLAR - Cosmic Face Haze Finishing Powder

BECCA - Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder

BECCA - Soft Light Blurring Setting Powder

Hourglass Veil™ Translucent Setting Powder - Talc Free Translucent

Fine Radiant Setting Powder Recommendation

not sure if you already purchased a powder you were looking for, but I have all of the ones you mentioned, and the only one that provides a subtle glow or "sheen" like finish is the hourglass one. I saw another comment saying they are all matte, but for me, that wasn't the case. however, if your looking for more of a glow and less of a sheen, I recommend the hourglass ambient lighting powders. Depending on your skin type, the new LM glow powder is wayyy to much shimmer (for me anyways), it emphasized my pores and made me look just not the best.

Re: Fine Radiant Setting Powder Recommendation

Dude, I was looking for the exact same thing, and had almost the same list as you.

In the end, none of the things marketed as a glowing powder seemed like a good idea to put all over my face.

See, I wanted to get an all-over, radiant glow, right?  And at first I thought a powder was my best bet for that, until I looked into it (and tried wearing an 'ambient glow' on my face all day.. not for me.)  But I can get that through foundation, skincare ingredients, farsali rose gold oil, etc.  The real problem was that I needed a setting powder that didn't take anything AWAY from what was already glowing.  So I went in store and tried out a bunch of different powders, and you might come to a different conclusion, but the one that blew me away, like head and shoulders above the ones that pop up on tutorials all the time is

GIVENCHY - Prisme Libre Loose Powder - N01 Mousseline Pastel

This powder is sooo finely milled. That's what really set it apart was how fine it was. it goes on so light, it's just the lightest layer of silk. I hate putting on powder and it's like, there goes my dewy skin. But this didn't feel like a mask at all. And then there's obviously the coloration.  If you are not fair-skinned, they have other color combos, such as a rose palette and a caramel, that enhance medium and deep tones. And even though I don't think I have any discoloration issues, the subtle, pastel pigments brightened my skin, and ended up doing for me what I wanted from a powder in the first place.

Man I hope that helps. I know I go on and on.

Re: Fine Radiant Setting Powder Recommendation

Thanks so much! I will definitely go into the store and try it out. Did you try the GUERLAIN - Météorites Highlighting Powder Pearlsby chance?

RE: Re: Fine Radiant Setting Powder Recommendation

Yeah I was torn between the two! You know what put me off the meteorite was how they wanted you to buy a special brush. I think those are the two best powders, Guerlain and givenchy. Did you get it yet? I just love putting my makeup on in the mornings now 🙂

Re: Fine Radiant Setting Powder Recommendation

@carlym99 I love Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder but it doesn't provide a subtle glow since it is matte.  If you want a setting powder with a subtle glow I would suggest Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Glow, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, or Lancome Absolue Radiant Smoothing Face Powder.
