Fenty beauty foundation shade help

I went into Sephora to find my shade for the pro filtr foundation and I also crossechecked it with my current foundation maybeline 320 (fit me, matte finish, target employee recommended) . I even tried the primer that the Sephora employee recommended and others similar to it (she said I needed a hydrating primer).  However both of these foundations are still a little orange on me and I look ashy, too. Ppl tell me I’m warm toned which is why they gave me such shades, but I don’t think so. I feel I may have more of a golden/ yellow undertone. So I’m at a loss. Continue using the same shades and try with different primers, or go with something a little more yellow/golden?
