Cool tone foundation on warm skin

I am pretty sure I have a warm golden skin tone (I have done all of the recommended test) but every foundation that matches me best is either cool tone or neutral, for reference, I am currently using light biege Hourglass stick foundation and Dior Backstage 3N. When I uses warmer tones they look orangey? Anyone know a better way to measure skin tone? I have always been afraid to use light tone blushes and cool lipsticks but now I am thinking I should experiment with them.
