Color IQ was WRONG 3 Times!!

I was color matched with the little camera 3 times and EVERYTIME, it matched me up with neutral foundations, but I am WARM and neutrals make me look ashy/ghostly. My true match for Fenty foundation was 370, although I was matched with 350 and my true match for Estรฉe Lauder perfection was rich caramel (5W2), I don't recall what the machine put me with, but it was also neutral AND super wrong. Now, my profile has me as a neutral and when I receive play! boxes and other samples, they keep sending a bunch of neutral stuff that I can't use๐Ÿ˜ก. How do I find out my ACTUAL color IQ and DELETE the wrong ones from my profile???

Verging into OT territory b/c my words have nothing to do with changing your profile settings, but others have addressed that. Just making some general comments about the system:

ColorIQ tends to do an Okay job on very even skintones (e.g. no blotchiness or freckles, on us freckled folks it will almost always give a result that is off from what we need), but even at the best of times, it generally just gets you into a ballpark of shades. It's *terrible* for reading the undertone of your skin & if you have any redness, forget it. That also throws it off entirely.

There is no substitute currently for getting properly color-matched by a human being, TBH. If you can get a Senior Artist to help match you, that's best. Many totally lovely and otherwise knowledgeable and well-meaning sales associates at Sephora who did not go to school to be a MUA won't necessarily know how to do it either. Some will, esp. if they have an arts background and are used to breaking down the subtleties of color. And, regardless of if you're referring to a human's expertise or a camera based system, if you don't feel it's a good match, don't buy on anyone else's say-so unless you're actually happy with it.

Same issue! I finally just went in and asked some one to help me. The SA started by asking me what I was using and why I didn't like it then we swatched several foundations before we found a good one. Once you find a color match, the SA can search the product in the colorIQ, find other matches, and manually override the color IQ.

Re: Color IQ was WRONG 3 Times!!

Mine is really wrong too, much darker than my skin tone.  I am inclined to believe that it's because I have freckles all over for my face.  Maybe it's something like that or sun damage that you can't even see.  So instead, I went into the store and was matched to a foundation by an employee.  Then I edited my colour IQ with that shade.  But now I have multiple colour IQs on my profile because I can't delete the other ones...

I think you ,might want to go to the Sephora help group and see if one of the employies can help you with that because I have never had that proplem.

RE: Color IQ was WRONG 3 Times!!

On your profile you can edit your colour IQ. Go to Profile, hit Edit, scroll down to Colour ID and there should be a space to enter a new colour IQ
