Can someone please explain my undertone and help me with my base?

Hello, I hope everyone is having a good evening! I had some questions regarding my undertone based off of the previous foundations that I've been matched to in-store. These shades are all a perfect match, and I also have some pictures of myself. I have been told many times that I have a neutral golden undertone, and that's what most of my foundation shade matches read. I also do see how I am neutral warm golden because warmer peachy orangey blushes or peachy nudes tend to wash me out.

Also, I know that I'm neutral golden because I have been matched to foundations that are too warm too red or too orange or too warm golden, and it is by no means a perfect match. I know for a fact that I do not have a cool undertone whatsoever. Can somebody please elaborate or explain what neutral warm golden essentially means? Does neutral golden tend to have a bit more of olive that makes them neutral? What is the difference between neutral golden and warm golden? I will say I do tend to look good in mauve blushes or warmer rose, peachy colors or any of the rare beauty shades are too warm or cool and they are very bright even when using a small amount. I mix a bunch of lip colors of all undertones to get my perfect nude or any lip color. Cool-tone lip colors such as burgundy plums and berries definitely flatter me even a mauve is really pretty on me. Here are my foundation matches that I match perfectly too. In the center of my face I am a little bit lighter and I have matches for the center of my face as well as the perimeter of my face. I typically use the perimeter shade all over my face and it's a perfect match, its not too dark at all I'm just providing the match to the center of my face so whoever is reading this knows the undertone of my cheeks. Typically do not use the shade that I matched on the center of my face all over because I can look ashy.

The last question that I had was about the Armani Luminous silk foundation! Do you guys typically use the elf halo glow liquid filter underneath luminous silk. If so do you apply the halo glow as a foundation or to just the high points of the face? Does anybody also use the Elf Putty Primer and then Halo Glow with the luminous silk. Do you guys typically like applying this foundation better with a brush or a sponge. Does it tend to go streaky with brushes? Does the brush and the sponge both give you medium coverage with this foundation which one do you prefer with this foundation? Are any there other luminous primers or products you like to use underneath luminous silk?

I was matched to all these foundations in-store by a beauty advisor. They're all very good matches for me. I have gone in depth about certain shades.

Armani Luminous Silk 8.75 (perfect match very good)

Haus Labs Foundation 370 (perfect match all over)

Fenty Pro Filtr Foundation 370 (perfect match all over)

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15 Golden 6

Makeup Forever Foundation 3Y52 (perimeters of the phase, I use this all over my face) and 3Y46 (matches to the apples of my cheeks or the center of my face. I do not use this all over my face it is a little too light.) In the old foundation I matched to Y445 and Y425

Rare Beauty Skin Tint 42N (center of the face) & 44N (perimeters of the face, I do use this all over my face)

Rare Beauty Foundation 360W

Elf halo glow liquid filter shade 5 (perfect match)

MakeupbyMario 18W

Brands I do not have a match in person. Yes, I have been matched in-store by a few beauty advisors, even with the Color IQ Machine. The shades in the shade range of these brands do not have a perfect match to my skin its either to warm too dark too light the undertone is too warm cool or neutral. There is no in-between shades. I allso do not mix foundations!

If someone can please answer my questions and provide some clarification or better explain my undertone neutral warm golden if you agree that I'm neutral golden or if I carry a little bit of olive in my skin, I would greatly appreciate it. If you have questions please feel free to send me a message on here. Here are some pictures of myself

Re: Can someone please explain my undertone and help me with my base?

@beautybaby97,

Cameras (especially on phones) can really warp/compress alter colors, super pretty pics, but I didn't rely on them.  But, I looked at the descriptions for some of the foundations you listed. I think you have a neutral peach undertone from what I can gather.  For all the shades you listed that were perfect matches, they are kind of golden + pinky.  The Elf Halo Glow kind of indicates this too, and since it is more of a filter/add on, you could probably use it to help color correct other foundations that are too light.

Also, take account of how your skin color also plays into it (I;m sure you have, but this is what I find to be tricky).  I think I am neutral/olive with tan skin, because I burn before I tan, my veins appear green and a mix of colors work against my skin, but anything too cool will appear ashen (blue toned grays, for example). Because I'm tan, I would get mismatches with warm often, but sometimes warm foundations with a yellow base will work on me.  It really can vary from company to company as you already know.

There's an article from healthline you might find helpful.  We can't post links, so search for the title below:

How to Identify Your Skinโ€™s Undertones and What This Means for You

ETA: also, what colors in your makeup collection do you feel work the best for you?  I realized warm eyeshadow palettes work typically, because of my skin tone , but for a neutral palette, ND Gold is the best because it has a mix of warm/neutral browns, a yellow gold as well as a green gold color.  Someone doing my makeup once told me cool colors don't work for me ๐Ÿ™„, but I find greens, blue, certain pinks, reds very complimentary.  If you find that certain shades almost always work, that can also give insight into your undertone.

Re: Can someone please explain my undertone and help me with my base?

You clearly have olive skin tone.   Standing next to your friend, itโ€™s very obvious.    I suggest you get a green to add to your foundation.   Olive foundation is hard to find.
