Best foundation for 30+ age

Have normal to dry skin. Natural to more built-able.

Re: Best foundation for 30+ age

My favorite is Armani Maestro Glow, sometimes mixed with Luminous Silk for more coverage. Koh Gen Do has some nice foundations for dry skin but the shade range is unfortunately small.

RE: Best foundation for 30+ age

I like NARS Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. It has sunscreen and many shades to choose from. It has buildable coverage but doesn't look heavy or cakey. Laura Mercier has several foundations or tinted moisturizers too if you want a dewy finish. Estée Lauder Double Wear Light is good for medium coverage and more matte finish. Also I like Tarte Rainforest of the Sea and Smashbox BB Water foundations. They are not particularly moisturizing but they have a nice light-feeling finish. Also I really like Buxom Show Some Skin but I don't think Sephora carries it anymore.

Re: Best foundation for 30+ age

For a completely different type of recommendation... I wear a "natural" makeup look 99% of the time, and I love rms beauty's "Un" Cover Up. It provides a really natural, fresh, and *most importantly* hydrating foundation for my 35yo skin (although you won't be able to build it up to true "full face" levels) and, I believe, has actually improved my skin as well. (fwiw I couldn't get good coverage using my fingers and a beauty blender but the rms Skin2Skin brush made this product the perfect everyday foundation for me.)

Re: Best foundation for 30+ age

Hi Divine87, You've been given some great suggestions, but I wanted to offer up another way to go. I've always been a solid medium coverage girl to hide my natural redness. Lately I've really been enjoying the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+. It gives me the coverage I need, but also feels super lightweight and looks very natural.

Re: Best foundation for 30+ age

I think both @Ikon and @jozkid gave you really good suggestions. I really like the YSL Touche Eclat foundation. It's in "all time fave" status. You can look into Tom Ford's Traceless foundation. It's the original one. It has a natural finish as well and doesn't break down or settle into fine lines. It's also a fave of mine.

Re: Best foundation for 30+ age

I really like Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua. It has a really light lovely finish to it — not matte and not too dewy either — and it goes on so smoothly. It can also be built up a bit for a little more coverage. I like to use it with Marc Jacobs coconut water primer — they work beautifully together. FYI, I'm 56 with drier skin. I don't have issues with this settling in lines or pores either.

Re: Best foundation for 30+ age

I'm 30 and a huge fan of YSL Touche Eclat foundation or the Armani Luminous Silk. Both are lovely and don't settle into any fine lines.
