Beauty blender

Do I wet my beauty blender by running it under the sink or should I spray it with my setting spray? Every time I tried to run it under the sink it was way too wet and absorbed so much product that my face looked wet so I am wondering if theres a better way.

Re: Beauty blender

I like to spray it with the urban decay all nighter setting spray. It makes my foundation last longer that way.

RE: Beauty blender

hi there! squeeze your bb under the water so you get the feeling of when its growing , stop the water then squeeze it until you get the perfect texture! setting spray are to be spray on the face , it won't work if you put it on your bb maybe even damage it! don't forget to clean your bb every time you use it or you will damage it and have pimples due to the bacteria xx hope it helped you

Re: Beauty blender

I heard from one of the cast members that beauty blender is 'open to close cell' technology so when it's wet, cells close and do not absorb product. I wet it under running water, squeeze well and then squeeze wrapping it in a hand towel and it works very well with the foundation or concealer, does not absorb much product.

Re: Beauty blender

Its personal preference. I use face mists for mine. A friend of mine uses water but she gets a small shallow dish and just puts a tiny bit of water in it, instead of running it under the tap or soaking it.

RE: Beauty blender

Hi, at first I just use water, I let it dry down a little and I spray fix+ by Mac or Mario Badescu Rosemary Water. That's on a new beauty blender. Second use until replace, I just spray directly to the sponge squish and bouncing around my face with foundation, blends everything even and looking flawless. Everyone use different techniques, I share mine. Hope this help.

Re: Beauty blender

It is best if you run it under water and then give it a good squeeze so that the water is not in the sponge. I actually started using the beauty blender pro as opposed to the original. I find that it absorbs wayyyy less product.

Re: Beauty blender

Wet it under the running water, setting spray isn't going to work here. Squeeze it several times under the running water so that it fully absorbs. It should about double in size. then you need to squeeze out ALL excess water. I keep a hand towel nearby that I use for this. After I squeeze out as much as I can I wrap the beauty blender in the towel and squeeze several more times. The beauty blender should be only slightly damp, not wet at all.
