Bare Minerals Color

I was told on my skincare post that bare minerals(or any true mineral foundation she said) is good if you have acne so I'd like to try it. Does anyone know the right color that's equivalent to revlon colorstay 180 and loreal true match W3? I also used the findation(enter what foundations you use for a color match but they didn't have bare minerals) website which says I'm a MAC NC20 which looks to be about right.

Also any other suggestions on acne prone combination skin are welcome 😊

Re: Bare Minerals Color

Try temptalia's foundation matrix. They have most of the bareminerals in their system, and I've found it helpful in the past.

Re: Bare Minerals Color

How would you describe your skin complexion?  Cool or warm undertones?  The Mac NC20 looks on the lighter shade, and Bare Minerals have several that could match. The original foundation is very forgiving and if you find a store that carries the line, they could help you find the right shade. I hope this helps.

Re: Bare Minerals Color

I believe I have a warm undertone. I read online that with cool undertones the veins on your wrists look purple/blue but with warm undertones they're green. Mine are green but I don't like foundations that are too yellow or too pink. I need to just go get color matched. Thank you 😊

Re: Bare Minerals Color

I'm not 100%, but I'm almost sure that the NC vs NW in MAC colors relates to cool and warm tones, respectively. I used to be an NC20 and it's much cooler for sure! Now I have an NW and it's a lot warmer. Also, I have really sensitive, sometimes acne-prone skin and have tried about 1000 foundations. I really like Clinique Even Better Makeup with SPF 15.  Hope this is beneficial, and definitely getting a color IQ helps, makes buying foundations a breeze!
