Hi OP. Look for a silicone-based foundation with dimethicone listed early in the INCI, this fills & blurs pores while sitting smoothly across the skin. Medium-buildable coverage formula works better than full coverage for this concern= less product means less that can collect in pores. Avoid anything with heavy waxes or high alcohol content. A satin or natural finish sits better on mature skin. Hope this helps!

I’d look more at the finish and formula style. A formula that has hydrating ingredients like glycerin or hyaluronic acid + some flexible film-formers tends to sit better on fine lines and gives that smoother look. At the same time, a bit of oil control like silica or light powders helps keep the T-zone in check.

@dillionnichols I've liked some and not others. It really depends. Obviously there are things geared toward different skin types (I'm dry skin for example, so the less hydrating moisturizers aren't going to work for me for example, but that doesn't mean they're bad per se). I've had pretty good luck overall with some of the items, but then they'll often reformulate them and say put a vitamin C in a non opaque container so it can be hit or miss. If you can get a sample to test, I'd recommend that. But also if you have a skincare routine you like and is in your price range, then I don't know if I'd waver much from it unless you like testing new things.

I hear you. A lot of the “good” whitening stuff really is pricey, and it’s annoying when the drugstore options barely do anything. For budget-friendly stuff that actually works, I’ve had decent results with whitening strips (just follow the instructions and don’t overdo it). Some of the toothpaste options with baking soda or peroxide can help a bit too, but don’t expect magic, they’re more for maintenance than big changes. If you’re open to kits, I checked out Smileactives, and talking to them directly was actually helpful. You can reach their smileactives phone number to ask about what’ll work best for your situation and any deals they might have. Not crazy expensive, and their customer service was chill about answering questions before I bought. Just remember to take it slow so you don’t mess with your enamel.
