Which Toner Biossance or Ordinary

I have combo skin, occasional break outs.  Between Biossance and The ordinary toners which do you recommend?

Re: Which Toner Biossance or Ordinary

@Sheswims  If you want a toner that targets acne—perhaps one that can clear out your pores to help prevent acne—then I don't recommend either The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating and Brightening Daily Toner 8 oz/ 240 mL or Biossance 2% BHA Pore Minimizing Toner + Squalane 4.0 oz/ 120 mL (assuming those are the 2 products you have in mind). Biossance claims their toner contains BHA (salicylic acid), but it doesn't. It contains willow bark extract, which is not the same thing as salicylic acid. Willow bark hasn't been shown to exfoliate and degunk pores. Those are 2 things salicylic acid can do. Also, The Ordinary's toner doesn't contain an ingredient than can get down into pores. (Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid, or AHA, that can exfoliate dead skin cells from the surface of your face but cannot get past your skin's natural oil/sebum to reach down into your pores.)

I recommend Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Exfoliating Toner for Clear Skin 4 oz/ 118 mL or Paula's Choice CLEAR Anti-Redness Exfoliating Solution with 2% Salicylic Acid 4 oz/ 118 mL . Both products contain real salicylic acid, and 2% is effective enough for most folks. Many people love the Skin Perfecting Exfoliant. My particular skin is very reactive/inflammation-prone, so I prefer the Anti-Redness Solution for myself—but you might prefer the other product.
