Water or silicone based??

If i’m using a water based primer and foundation could i use a silicone based concealer?? i’ve been loving the hourglass concealer but noticed my base separates around my nose and forehead

Silicone is like an oil.  Oil and water don't mix, hence the separation.  Usually if silicone is listed first/near top on the ingredient list, or anything ending in -icone like dimethicone, assume it's oil based product.
