Setting Powder Before Foundation?

There has been a lot of speculation about if using a setting powder before foundation works. After watching several videos and my own trial and error I must say this method is.... a GAME CHANGER! I've tried this method multiple times within the past 4 months and I am in love. I have combination skin and a deep complexion. After a few hours I can feel the oil oozing out of my T-zone (cheeks, chin, nose, and my forehead). I've tried many products and methods but this is the only one that works. The trick is to use a LIGHT HAND to set your primer with a setting powder that compliments your complexion. I use Laura Mercier deep setting powder in my T-zone. While applying your foundation DO NOT swirl around the product; instead use a stippling motion and finish your makeup as you would normally. I can go about a good 7 hours without patting my face. Yes, I have been doing this for the past 6 months and it really has helped. My skin get very oily as well.
