Nose makeup separates

Hello i tried many foundations and i can’t find the right one for me. it always separates on my nose, and it’s look cakey. i have combination skin and if anyone has tips for nose separation and foundation and primer recommendations, it’ll be appreciated!

@seanandgab  I have combo/oily skin and I have been using Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer  specifically on my nose to avoid makeup separation. It’s been working beautifully for me since Silk Canvas launched. Hope you can try it out and see if it works for you as well 🙂

I had the same problem for a number of years @seanandgab. I added two new items to my routine that seem to really benefit me. I am using the ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr Secure the Blur Makeup Magnet Primer 1.18 oz / 35 mL  and the SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Foundation Brush #70  . Hope these recommendations help.

@seanandgab , what's your skin prep for foundation?  Usually, if a foundation separates like that, it's the oils in your skin, so you may want to use a mattifying primer.

Also let your skincare settle in between steps - like let your moisturizer set in/rest before you put on your primer, etc.

Hi thank you for the recommendations. i just ordered the clinique 3 step face for combination skin but usually i’ll use cerave foaming face wash and the morning moisturizer. I have been using water based primer tho.

@seanandgab , that's a great set, just for the value alone.

A water based primer could still work, consider really concentrating your efforts on the parts of your nose that it breaks, and liked I said, let time pass between steps (like I usually brush my teeth or work on my eye makeup)
