Help me... I need a moisturizer for the night time.

I think my daytime moisturizer is drying me out....I tend to have oily face, but I think my skin changed to a combination. What’s your moisturizer that you swear by in the daytime? What night creams do you use as a night moisturizer? I’m using Lancôme serum and the hydra zen anti stress, but I think it’s time for a change.

Re: Help me... I need a moisturizer for the night time.

Hi @beautyseeking ! Specifically which Lancome Hydra Zen Anti-Stress product do you use? There's a gel moisturizer, a liquid moisturizer, and a cream moisturizer.

Spoiler
Of those 3, the only one I'd use on my mostly-dry combo skin is Lancôme Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Glow Liquid Moisturizer because it contains good humectants (sodium hyaluronate and 2 forms of PCA), a peptide, and some moisturizing emollients my skin likes a lot (squalane, sunflower seed oil). It also contains shea butter, a good moisturizer for some folks. It's never moisturizing enough for my particular skin, though.

That moisturizer also contains things my skin hates, like menthol and perfuming rose extract, so it'd probably irritate my skin. But of the 3 Hydra Zen moisturizers, this one contains the fewest irritants for me. Perhaps the one you use is causing irritation, or it just isn't moisturizing enough for your skin.

Anyway, I use the same moisturizer day and night: Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer. It keeps my dry zones moisturized without swamping my oily zone. A similar product is CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion, which can be used day or night despite its name. CeraVe Moisturizing Cream is another good option. And check out some Paula's Choice moisturizers: they sell sample foils or travel sizes of several of their products. Eh, I could recommend some pricier brand options, but some of them are quite overpriced for what they contain.

Whichever moisturizer you use, apply it while your skin's damp so it can seal in that extra hydration.
