Gentle Exfoliating Mask

I have very acne prone combination skin. As a result, dry rough patches appear on parts of my face, while others (hello, forehead!) are still extremely oily. I’m looking for a gentle exfoliating mask to target those oily spots while also being gentle (and not abrasive) on the more dry patches.

I'm obsessed with Sephora Collection's purifying mud mask. It really helps with oily areas without drying my skin out. It has little bits in it that are supposed to help with exfoliation when you scrub it off. But personally I don't feel them at all. It's very gentle. (The version in the old packaging is being discontinued and is currently on sale. But the new one has the exact same ingredients.)

You could also try an exfoliating peel pad. The acid will help unclog pores and remove dead skin. And the pad itself will physically exfoliate gently. If you're new to acids, the Sephora Collection ones would be a good place to start. They're really gentle, but work. If you want something stronger, The Ordinary also makes a really fantastic glycolic acid toner.
