I’ve just started using the Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless filter foundation and have combo skin, and I’ve noticed it cakes up on my cheeks, nose and chin and gets patchy throughout the day. Any advice? I use the milk hydrogrip primer and make sure to do moisturizer before applying as well.

@rtay21  I tried everything I could think of and never could get that foundation to work for me.  The Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation is so much better.

@rtay21 , A few things I'm unclear on....you moisturize, THEN do the primer, correct? And are you referring to the CT Airbrush Flawless Longwear Foundation? A few thoughts, regardless - make sure your skin is fully clean before you moisturize, and be sure the moisturizer is fully absorbed/"dried down", prior to adding primer. Also make sure you let the primer *fully* set, prior to applying makeup. If you are doing all of that, I'd next look at your application technique for the foundation.

I do my full skincare then I wait at least 15 minutes after moisturizer to put on primer. I’ve tried using a beauty blender and brush to see if it makes a difference, and it doesn’t. I have the Airbrush Flawless foundation I’ve been using. My primer also sits for the full minute like the bottle says.

@rtay21 , 15 mins - wow, you have a lot more patience than I do! I thinking either your moisturizer isn't playing nicely with the primer, or the primer isn't truly setting. Does the foundation seem to glide over it, or does it require a bit of effort? Not sure what you're using for moisturizer, or what you are using prior to moisturizer. If you aren't using a toner, you might want to try adding that. I've found it helps my moisturizer absorb a lot better.
