Combination skin

I have super oily combination skin. Very oily on my nose, chin, and forehead, but can get very dry on the cheeks. My skin is also sensitive and I recently destroyed a part of my skin barrier on my cheek and it’s irritated and red at the moment. I also have enlarged pores on my nose and some acne scarring on my chin. I have lots of red in my face too. I’m looking for recommendations for a full skin care routine and treatments to use. Oil cleanser, regular cleanser, exfoliant, toner, mosturizer, sunscreen, retinoid, etc.

Re: Combination skin

@Ashxobrien, oof, sorry to hear.

You want to go mild until that area is healed (and maybe set a derm) , so think really gentle gel cleanser and gel moisturizer as the main for at least 3-4 weeks.  Skin turnover takes a few weeks.

Also, I wouldn't do an oil cleanser with oily skin personally, but if you find that works for you, continue.

I haven't tried yet, but once it's healed The Ordinary Soothing & Barrier Support Serum for Sensitive Skin Hydration 1 oz might help.  Avoid anything that is reactive, like acids/vitamin C and retinol until it's healed.
